STARR BARN At the Starr Barn take the self guided tour through the agriculture exhibit, “The Unvarying Rhythm of the Farmer’s Year” as portrayed by the four seasons of the year. Each season illustrates the tasks and tools necessary for the life of a farmer during the first half of the 19th century.
This exhibit offers insight not only to the agricultural development in the upper Chemung River area circa 1800 to 1900, It is also illustrative of the development of many agricultural communities. Also in the Starr Barn view many additional agricultural tools, as well as Aggie, our “cow” and Sodus, our “horse”
